Jason was a top ranked junior tennis player in New Zealand and played professionally overseas. In 1992 he trained with the US Professional Tennis Association where he qualified as a coach. He went on to teach in Australia, Europe and Hong Kong.
A back injury led to his interest, enthusiasm and belief in the benefits of Pilates and he went on to train at the internationally respected Pilates Institute in London and with Stott Pilates.
Jason opened the first Peak Pilates studio in Newmarket in 2003 and has successfully guided the company through its extraordinary growth. The company now boasts eight studios, over 50 staff, and hundreds of clients reaping the benefits of Pilates on a daily basis.

Lorna is a Senior Physiotherapist, Clinical leader and is the co-owner of Peak Pilates and Physiotherapy as well as a wife and mother of two children. In 1996 she qualified with an Honours degree in Physiotherapy from Birmingham University. Spent 1 year in the NHS before the travel bug hit and she ended up in Hong Kong for 1 year, that turned into 7 years! During this time she met and married Jason and was first introduced to Pilates in 1997.
She was a successful competitive athlete in both athletics and gymnastics. Due to injury Lorna had a great deal to do with health care professionals which lead to her interest in Physiotherapy.
Lorna has over 20 years’ experience as a physiotherapist and Pilates instructor, she has written many accredited courses on Pilates, and was one of the first Physios to bring Pilates to NZ. She has treated a wide variety of patients over the years from Olympians to movie stars to people with head injuries and neurological conditions.
Lorna is constantly upskilling both herself and her staff to stay on top of the latest research based courses, techniques and methods.
These days Lorna’s passion lies within the oncology scene and works with PINC and STEEL to provide cancer rehabilitation.
