Our Pilates for Kids class aims to promote the wellbeing of growing children, and within this goal, we recognise the importance of designing specific Pilates programmes that are adapted to the developing skeletal frame.
Normal adult aerobic exercise has been shown to make extra physical demands on a child, and so rather than promote rigorous exercise regimens for children, we believe that Peak Pilates can offer a much safer, healthier, low-impact workout. We have designed our children’s Pilates programmes to suit the special needs of young bodies, with the goal to:
- Improve posture and spinal alignment
- Increase the strength and flexibility of the abdominal and inner muscles of the body
- Help with weight control
- Make exercise fun and stimulating for the growing child
- Promote toned bodies
