Karen is the manager of the Newmarket Studio, a registered Physiotherapist, and a qualified BET Pilates instructor. Karen has worked with a lot of postural and movement imbalances and enjoys the challenges of sports rehabilitation. Karen has a passion for snowboarding and loves wake boarding and running in her spare time.

Physiotherapist & Pilates Instructor
With a Bachelor of Health Science (Physiotherapy) from AUT, Sara has a passion for all sport related injuries. She particularly enjoys using a combination of physiotherapy techniques and exercise combined with Pilates for rehabilitation. Sara has previously worked in mental health and rehabilitation centres. She values personal fitness and enjoys social sports and the outdoors.

Pilates Instructor
Sophie is a qualified Pilates instructor and is currently completing her degree at Auckland University in Law and Psychology. She has always been an avid fan of keeping fit and participating in team sports. Sophie has coached, umpired and currently plays in a social netball league, although her other sporting interests include; running, spin class, yoga and of course, Pilates. She also enjoys; travelling, design and socialising.

Danni is a qualified physiotherapist and Pilates instructor. She enjoys getting to know clients and working together with them to achieve their goals. She believes in combining the benefits of Pilates based rehabilitation with physiotherapy for the best results.

Phil is a qualified personal trainer, Pilates instructor and Fitness Instructor. He moved to New Zealand from England where he was a semi-professional rugby player. When he is not working Phil likes weight training and socialising.

Pilates Instructor
Hannah has a B.Sc in Sport Exercise Science from Auckland University and a BA in Clinical Psychology from the USA. She is also a qualified Pilates Instructor. Hannah is incredibly fit and has represented New Zealand in Athletics, cross-country and running. She has also competed internationally in marathons and is the current New Zealand half ironman age group champion. She will be representing New Zealand at the world long course triathlon championships in Perth in October 2009. She is also a very motivating running coach.

Tareeza is a Pilates and fitness instructor. She has a Diploma in massage therapy and teaches Ceroc dancing in which she has held both national and international competition titles. She has also travelled extensively and enjoyed the vibrancy and diversity of many cultures and countries.

Barbara is a qualified physiotherapist from AUT and a qualified personal trainer from Unitec. She has worked for the past 4 years as a physio assistant for Ponsonby Ponies premier league team. Coming from a gym background Barbara, previously an international bodybuilding competitor, believes that Pilates combined with exercise prescription gives clients the ideal rehabilitation from injuries or musculoskeletal problems. Having coached a number of championship teams barb enjoys helping clients to reach their best potential.

Jenni is a qualified physiotherapist who graduated out of AUT on the North Shore. She believes in a combination of hands-on physiotherapy and exercise rehabilitation to gain the best results for her patients. Interests outside of pilates include horse riding, keeping fit and dancing, where she has worked at a professional level

Lauren is passionate about the effectiveness of Pilates for sustainable wellbeing. Having juggled the complexities of family, corporate career and personal wellbeing during many years in the media and advertising industries, Lauren personally found Pilates to be the best programme for maintaining a strong functional body with the added bonus of supporting stress management.
So impressed with the effectiveness of Pilates she traded the corporate world to train with Peak Pilates as as instructor.
Her background, which also includes Bodybuilding at a competitive level before having family, gives Lauren unique credentials in supporting our clientele, to achieve their wellbeing goals.
Outside of the studio Lauren enjoys getting away for the weekend with family, especially to Raglan, walking her dogs, her activities as a Board Director for ChildFund New Zealand and a good New Zealand Pinot!

Simone is a Pilates Instructor at both our St Heliers and Newmarket Studios. Having played representative volleyball for NZ for over 10 years, netball for Hong Kong at World Champs in 1991, and 2 years on the NZ beach volleyball Pro Tour she understands the incredible mind and body benefits Pilates offers as a solution not only to those with restricted mobility but also to the elite athlete at the very top of their game. She strongly believes Pilates is adaptable and diverse, for anyone and everyone, and that is its magic! Simone is passionate about anything she does and lives life to the absolute max - fun and laughter are high on the agenda!
