Katie Bennett

Pilates Instructor

Katie has been teaching across a range of fitness classes and sporting activities since the late nineties. She started teaching Pilates in 2006, and has found it effective as a supplementary training activity, and for injury prevention and rehabilitation, both for athletes competing nationally and internationally (in a variety of sports including rugby, ice hockey, figure ice skating, rowing, golf, triathlon, tennis, and ballet), and anyone seeking to enhance their health and wellbeing through effective exercise. She holds a degree in Physical Education from Otago University, specialising in exercise prescription and exercise psychology, as well as a Bachelor of Health Science (Physiotherapy) from Auckland University of Technology. As well as teaching Pilates here at Peak Pilates, Katie is a Physiotherapist at Auckland Hospital, and currently training for her second ironman triathlon.
